ERCO Opens New Showroom in Los Angeles

With the new “Showroom West” in Los Angeles, luminaire manufacturer ERCO is now opening another contact point for lighting designers, architects and electrical specialists in the USA. In the Culver City district, a hotspot for the creative industry situated between downtown and Santa Monica, the specialist for architectural lighting presents its repertoire of digital lighting solutions in space of around 4,000 sq. ft. The showroom is designed as an “open house” and invites visitors to experience the effects of light on location and to deepen their knowledge via individually designed workshops.

With its new site in the greater Los Angeles area, ERCO is now also present on the west coast of the USA. The luminaire manufacturer previously managed the entire national market from its New York location. "The market for architectural lighting in the USA has developed strongly, and not least thanks to the digitalization of light with LEDs. A Showroom West was the logical consequence for us to be able to manage projects from coast to coast even more efficiently, and above all personally," summed up Mark Sieber, President and CEO of ERCO North America.

Light in the focus of the application

ERCO was the first classic luminaire producer to upgrade its entire product spectrum to LED technology as early as 2015. As a consequence, it now goes without saying that everything in the new showroom revolves around the digital illumination of architecture. Visitors though can expect much more than just the presentation of products. "Light is the fourth dimension of architecture, and we aim to make this perceptible for our visitors here. We’re demonstrating the versatile options for use of our luminaires in application-related mock-ups," explained Showroom Associate Veronica Cusimano. Subdivided according to "cultural applications", "community buildings" and "public space", individual exhibition areas not only display the special effect of light but also impart specialist knowledge that supports the lighting design of museums and galleries as well as train stations and libraries, and even monuments and bridges.

A central highlight of the new ERCO showroom is the spacious and openly designed workshop area which offers space for professional exchange and lighting technology advice. In accordance with its "open house" concept, ERCO’s West Coast team of four regularly invites guests to take part in various training courses, workshops and events.
