LightShow West invites the submission of topics that offer the latest trends, information, insight and perspective on the various aspects of commercial and architectural lighting for our audience of industry professionals.

May 19, 2017 – Deadline to submit proposals for consideration
May 29, 2017 – Speakers notified
June 7, 2017 – Signed Speaker Agreements due
September 15, 2017 – Presentations due
LightShow West’s conference program consists of 30 seminars and 16 roundtable sessions. All sessions are 60 minutes long.
Submitted seminar proposals should fit within the five LightShow West tracks:
• Health and Lighting
• Lighting 101
• Lighting Design
• Lighting Technology
• Title 24
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
• Art in Lighting
• Horticulture Lighting
• Project Specific
The audience consists primarily of architects, lighting designers, engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, retailers, facility managers and other end users of lighting products.
The LightShow West educational services staff evaluates each proposal based on the following criteria:
- RELEVANCE – How germane is the topic to the advancement of knowledge in the commercial lighting industry.
- VALUE – How useful or actionable is the proposed content for this topic to its intended audience.
- TIMELINESS – How cutting-edge or forward‑thinking is this topic.
LightShow West strives to provide a unique forum for professionals to discuss and exchange ideas free from commercial content. To maintain the educational integrity of the LightShow West educational program, presenters are prohibited from using this opportunity as a platform for promotion of their products and services. A pledge to this effect is included on the speaker agreement you will be provided with your presentation notification.
