1) Understand the market dynamics, influences, technology, environmental impacts, optical and electrical influences in the design of LED fixtures
2) Learn the key performance tradeoffs of LED luminaires versus traditional fixtures for exterior applications
3) Define optical efficiency, cut-off, BUG ratings, LED Design-drive current, thermal design, electronics and color temperature
4) Identify applications that maximize the benefits of a well-designed LED Fixture by determining the design criteria for successful exterior applications which include Mesopic considerations and IES Recommendations, Color Temperature and CRI
